Porn Star Prostitutes

by former porn star prostitute Shelley Lubben, TH.D www.shelleylubben.com

According to the Merriam Webster online Dictionary, prostitution is defined as, “the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money.”

The Free Dictionary online defines prostitution, ”to offer (oneself or another) for sexual hire.”

Isn’t sex for hire exactly what porn actresses and actors engage in?

When I was porn actress I was hired to have sex for money. Whether the camera was on or off, I was hired to have sex for money. I had sex with porn actors and actresses on the porn set whether or not the camera was turned on or off.

I had sex with pornographers on and off the porn set. I had sex with porn agents in their offices when “auditioning” for a movie whether or not the camera was turned on or off. I had sex with porn fans when pornographers and porn agents pimped me out. I was hired on and off the porn set while working in the porn industry to have sex for money with the general public. It didn’t matter if it was on a porn set, in a porn agent’s office or if a pornographer flew me across country to have sex with a porn fan, I was hired while working as an employee in the porn industry to have sex for money on and off the porn set whether or not the camera was turned on or off. There is no link between pornography and prostitution. Pornography is prostitution. Porn stars are prostitutes.

There is no lack of consensus among current and former porn performers that we are or have been engaged in prostitution whether or not the camera is turned on or off. Former and current porn stars who confess this truth are:

Jan Villarubia formerly known as Elizabeth Rolling confesses:

“I was a porn prostitute because many of the producers I worked with propositioned me on the side for sex and coerced me into have off camera sex by telling me I would get more work or that if I didn’t sleep with then I wouldn’t get any more work with their company. They also sent me to private clients under the “vice” of it being filmed. Yes, porn stars are prostitutes.”

Jane Doe formerly known as Jennah confesses:

“I got paid to perform sexual acts on film and at parties. That constitutes prostitution no matter how you look at it. For now, porn is legal prostitution in California and New Hampshire, only TWO states! But it shouldn’t be. There is nothing legal about women or men being sold for sex on and off the porn set.”

Sal formerly known Sal McKvey confesses:

“I was a porn star and prostitute. I was a paid “es-cort” (off camera prostitute) the last five years of my porn career. Porn producers and porn agents got clients for me. Out of 100, 85% of porn stars also do “escorting” (off camera prostitution) during their career in porn. Also, porn producers and agents forced me to have sex with them in order to get more work. I had no education, no high school diploma so I had no choice. I was trafficked into gay porn by a relative at age 15. Nine years later I escaped thanks to God and Pink Cross Foundation.”

Jenny Case formerly known Veronica Lain confesses:

“All the girls in porn do prostitution. Some tried to keep it “hush hush” but as a porn star it is always assumed that you will perform sex for hire on and off the porn set. I had sex for payment off the porn set to make money in between porn shoots. I also used my porn star name as a selling point in advertising for my services for prostitution in Los Angeles sex-for-hire magazines such as La Xpress.”

Porn Star Prostitute Carmella Bing confesses:

“I’m a better hooker than an actress (mind you I use that word loosely only because I am mature enough to accept it). In porn my base rate is $1500, Vegas I make $1500 per hour. Porn costs money, taxes, commission, not to mention STD’s time off work, medication, more money lost travel costs, wardrobe... etc. Vegas/escorting is cash, 100% cash to me it’s mine, I pay for advertising and a phone bill.”

Porn Star Prostitute Jayla Diamond promotes a YouTube ad for her prostitution services:

“Hey guys I’m Jayla Diamond. You may have seen me on Brazzers, Reality Kings or my web site. I am going to be ex-clusively at Sheri’s ranch. Sheri’s ranch is a legal brothel in Las Vegas. It is such an amazing place to have an amazing time with me. I can be your secret girlfriend.”

Porn Star Prostitute Kelly Divine admits her prostitution in a YouTube video:

“I’m Kelly Divine and an escort and it cost money. At least if I walk out with a hundred dollars I’m cool.”

Not only do porn actresses confess they are prostitutes but many have been arrested by undercover vice and police for prostitution. Recently porn star Jordin Skye was arrested in northeast Indianapolis. Police said they confiscated marijuana, hydrocodone pain pills and $1,705 in cash from the raid.

In January, 2013, Porn Star Asia, who has performed in 174 porn movies, was arrested during an undercover prostitution sting in Polk County.

In March, 2012, Police arrested porn actress Nichole Heiress who solicited sexual favors for the amount of $300.

In July 2008, the Vice Enforcement Squad in New York arrested porn star Alexia Moore when police raided Big Daddy Lou’s Hot Lap Dance Club. Prosecutors say it was so beloved because the club offered much more than erotic dancing to its upscale clientele, including on-site cocaine sales and private rooms with beds for $250 an hour (plus whatever customers gave “dancers” behind closed doors). During the raid, police arrested some dancers, including porn star Alexia Moore, on alleged prostitution charges. Moore and a topless dancer rejected a plea deal that would result in no jail, no probation and no community service provided they admitted to prostitution. The two women insist they aren’t prostitutes, however, an undercover officer says the two women agreed to have a threesome with him for $5,000.

Now that I have certainly proved that pornography is prostitution and porn stars are prostitutes, I will make evident how pornography damages its pornographic “employees”.

Combat Disorder

In a study to be presented at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association in San Francisco in 1998, researchers interviewed almost 500 prostitutes from around the world and discovered that two-thirds suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. In contrast, the condition is found in less than 5 percent of the general population. Studies of veter-ans of combat in the Vietnam War have found that the disorder may be diagnosed in 20 percent to 30 percent, about half of whom have long-term psychiatric problems.

According to the New York Times in the article, Many Prostitutes Suffer Combat Disorder, Study Finds:

Dr. Melissa Farley, director of Prostitution Research and Education, and her team interviewed male and female prostitutes ages 12 to 61 who operated on the street and in brothels in San Francisco and six large cities in Europe, Asia and Africa. The vast majority reported having sustained recurrent physical or sexual assaults in working hours.

Using a severity scale developed by scientists who study post-traumatic stress in the military, Dr. Farley's team found that the prostitutes averaged a slightly more severe form of the disease than even Vietnam veterans seeking treatment for the condition. That is an ''enormously high'' rating on the scale, said Dr. Matthew J. Friedman, executive director of the Department of Veterans' Affairs National Center for post-traumatic stress disorder and a professor of psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School.

Since porn stars are deemed prostitutes they definitely have higher rates of post-traumatic stress disorder than even combat veterans. Plus, PTSD is exacerbated in female porn stars because the porn set is a war zone where women are strangled, battered, gagged by penises, vaginally and anally raped and severely traumatized. Women in porn are also subjected to bodily fluids such as blood, feces, urine and seminal and vaginal fluids due to being forced to have unprotected sex by pornographers aka pimps.

Given that the shelf life of a woman in porn is now 6 months because their bodies are so damaged, female porn stars end up in brothels around the United States or forced by pimps into illegal prostitution under the guise of strip clubs or escort agencies. Worse than that, some are transported overseas to never return home to the United States. Porn is sex trafficking any way you look at it.

Additionally, the horrific work conditions on the porn set, the mass distribution of pornography on the internet, and pirating of porn have reduced the female performer's pay per scene so they are struggling to pay the rent and are forced to make more money elsewhere. Overnight, women enter the porn industry are turned into damaged goods whose only option is to try to survive in the modern day slave trade.
