Who
is Shelley Lubben?
Shelley
Lubben, former porn actress and prostitute in the 90’s was
diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,
Depressive Disorder, Impulse Control Disorder and addictions
to meth and alcohol due to years of trauma from the sex industry.
She was prescribed anti-depressants, Lithium, and sleeping pills
and recommended counseling for the next twenty years! She also
caught Genital Herpes, a non-curable disease, in the porn industry
where she was prescribed Zovirax for the rest of her life. She
was totally hopeless and in great despair. But God had a different
plan.
After eight years of recovery
at the Champion's Center,
Shelley conquered many of the horrible effects of her past and
became a Champion in life through the power of Jesus Christ.
Ten years later Shelley went back to the porn industry to reach
out to porn stars and sex workers offering them help out of
the industry and hope for a new future. Shelley is also on a
mission to smash the illusion of porn and help people overcome
pornography addiction.
What
is Pink Cross Foundation?
Pink
Cross Foundation was founded on January 24, 2008 by former
porn actress Shelley Lubben and her husband Garrett Lubben.
Shelley began working with adult industry workers in 2002 when
she began volunteering as a teacher and counselor at local rescue
missions and prisons in the State of California.
Shelley has worked at Madera Rescue Mission, Bakersfield Rescue
Mission, Central California Women's Facility Prison, and Valley
State Prison for Women. Having a passion to reach out to adult
industry workers all over the world, she was stirred to action
and put up a web site in 2004 sharing her story and the truth
about the abuse she experienced in the porn industry.
Unprepared for the overwhelming response she received from
the public, she realized something more had to be done about
the destruction pornography was inflicting upon Americans and
the world. She also realized, God had called her to expose the
filthy and abusive porn industry and to be unafraid and unrelenting.
Inspired by the Spirit of God, she and her husband Garrett
founded Pink Cross Foundation to reach out to adult industry
workers offering emotional, financial and transitional support
to those who want out of porn and also help for those struggling
with pornography and other victims of pornography. Pink Cross
Foundation was officially incorporated on January 24, 2008.
Shelley currently travels
internationally and speaks on the negative effects of pornography
urging people to stop contributing to the porn industry while
also inspiring them to live the amazing lives God has for them.

What does the pink cross represent?
The pink cross represents
life transformation but also serves as a sober reminder of the
crossroad I stood at when I was forced to make a crucial decision
between two roads, life and death. The porn industry offered
me fame, money and attention but was killing my soul, mind and
body. The drug and alcohol abuse of the lifestyle led me to
a near fatal car accident and the unprotected sex led me to
three pregnancies, Genital Herpes a non-curable disease and
early cervical cancer. The trauma of the sex industry led me
to a long eight year hard recovery that at times I thought I
would never survive.
In my desperation I cried out to God and He heard me.
This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient
paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find
rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16
I made the decision to turn
away from the destructive porn lifestyle and asked God to help
me rebuild my life. God miraculously healed me from Herpes,
mental illness, sexual abuse, painful memories, and several
addictions. He gave me rest for my soul and taught me a more
excellent way to live.
My family and I are now committed
to bearing our "cross" and helping others choose LIFE
while they stand at their crossroad of decision. Please find
out how to help and support our mission here.
