What's this site about?

Pink Cross Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reaching out and helping improve the lives of adult industry workers, persons struggling with pornography addiction and more. Shelley Lubben, former porn actress and prostitute in the 90’s, was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depressive Disorder, Impulse Control Disorder and substance abuse due to years of trauma from the sex industry. She was prescribed anti-depressants, Lithium, and sleeping pills and recommended counseling for the next twenty years!

After eight years of recovery at the Champion's Center, Shelley conquered the horrible effects of her past and became a Champion in life through the power of Jesus Christ. Ten years later Shelley is on a mission to go back to the sex industry to reach out to porn stars and sex workers offering them help and hope. Shelley is also on a mission to smash the illusion of porn and help people overcome pornography addiction.

What does the pink cross represent?

The pink cross represents life transformation but also serves as a sober reminder of the crossroad I stood at when I was forced to make a crucial decision between two roads, life and death. The porn industry offered me fame, money and attention but was killing my soul, mind and body. The drug and alcohol abuse of the lifestyle led me to a near fatal car accident and the unprotected sex led me to three pregnancies and Genital Herpes, a non-curable sexually transmitted disease. The trauma of the sex industry led me to a long eight year hard recovery that at times I thought I would never survive.

In my desperation I cried out to God and He heard me.

This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16

I made the decision to turn away from the destructive porn lifestyle and asked God for help to show me the way to LIFE. God miraculously healed me from Herpes, mental illness, sexual abuse, painful memories, and several addictions. He gave me rest for my soul and taught me a more excellent way to live.

My family and I are now committed to bearing our "cross" and helping others choose LIFE while they stand at their crossroad of decision. Please find out how to help and support us here.
